The Lana lore in Dress To Impress, started during the April Fool’s update. During that update, the nail lady (before she was officially named Lana) had tears streaming down her cheeks, and she had an open diary on her nail desk.
When you read her open diary, there were entries detailing how much she hated her job as the nail lady, and how she felt she was overworked, and felt dehumanized. Since that very first encounter, the Lana lore has gone wild. Keep on reading to find out more…
Since the introduction of Lana, the Lana lore has developed with each big Dress To Impress update, introducing a brand new character; Lina.
Lana Lore Halloween Quest
We had a three-part Halloween quest, which, in chapter one, took us back to Lana’s childhood home, where we had to retrieve six colorful keys to open different colorful padlocks, to retrieve six of Lana’s possessions (nail file, teddy bear, camera, paint palette, Greek tales book and her journal).
Once we’d found the six items, for chapter 2 we were taken to an abandoned hospital, where possessed Nurse Julie would try and get us, while we look for six hidden map pieces (in room 3, the cafeteria, the recreational room, the bathroom, storage room and Nurse Julie’s room).
We then had to do a Nurse Julie chase through the building, which was tough!
For the last chapter (chapter 3), we were taken to ancient catacombs, with a maze to follow (by following the fireflies or the red line along the floor), and once you complete the maze and dodge the obstacles, we had a boss battle with Lana’s evil doppelgängers and evil Lina.
Those that completed those three chapters received three prizes; a long floor-length dress with a leg slit, an ornate shield and a Chiton for masculine bodies.
If you completed the boss battle, Lana gets released from her cage, Lina is destroyed, but Agamemnon appears in the final scene to say he’s basically going to see her again very soon.
Lana Lore Christmas Quest
For the Christmas quest, we got another three-part quest, but this time, it wasn’t as lore-heavy as the Halloween quest, but it was themed around Christmas, so it makes sense.
In chapter one, we have to help Holly (the elf) by packing gifts within the workshop in two minutes (with trains, dolls, t-rex and scooters).
Following the gift packing, we have a super difficult obby to complete, where we have to go along the candy river jumping on candies and dodging obstacles.
Chapter two is SO much easier, the first part being an adorable Reindeer ride, dodging the snowmen and gift box obstacles, and trying to jump through the wreath ‘gold rings’ for a power boost.
After reaching the end of the reindeer race, you have to choose one of three Santa sleighs to take you to the frozen door.
Chapter three is really quite difficult, as it’s another boss battle type of game, but it’s a two scene fight, and we’re trying to battle evil Santa (that has been possessed by Agamemnon that was attempting to ruin Christmas).
The Lana lore wasn’t very strong with the Christmas quest. In chapter one, you can walk through the forest to find an abandoned log cabin, where you’ll find Lana’s diary, which goes into a bit more information about her story.
But the lore got a little more interesting in chapter two, when you choose which sleigh you want to use, to try and find the frozen door.
One of the doors took you to a frozen fountain, where you had to enter a secret code (which was in three parts within the chapters).
On the fountain, there’s an “E inspect” pop-up which prompts you to enter a special code. The code you need to enter is PALINGENESIA.
Is There Going To Be A Dress To Impress Valentines Quest?
YES.
Umoyae (Lore-Writer) confirmed on TikTok and the Developer Q&A on YouTube.
She also asked within the Discord if people prefer “more lore heavy quests” or “less lore more gameplay quests”, and pretty much everyone said “more lore”, and she replied “more lore it is.
We now know that yes, there is definitely going to be a Dress To Impress Valentine’s Day Quest.
Umoyae and BeaPlays posted a developer’s Q&A on YouTube, where Umoyae answered some questions regarding the Valentine’s Quest:
Is there going to be new Lana lore in this update (Valentine’s Update)?
Yes there will be. I got feedback from the winter quest that you guys wanted the next quest to be more lore based, or for there to be more Lana lore.
So, I am adding more Lana lore to this update, and there will be Easter eggs and little hidden secrets throughout.
So, you guys make sure you’re paying attention when the valentines update comes out because I’m like going to be hiding lore everywhere.
Is the Valentine’s Day update going to be even bigger than previous updates?
I would say it’s not going to be bigger than our Halloween update, I mean our Halloween update was humongous, but kinda the same as the winter update.
Or even a bit more as we have a really exciting feature, in my opinion, that’s going to be releasing in this update that’s very different, very huge, but it’ll be kinda bigger than our winter update at least.
We now have confirmation that there’s going to be a quest, and we’ve seen a visual sneak peek by Umoyae in the DTI Discord, which was created by @harhtRBLX (3D Modeler).
Umoyae is the lore writer for the DTI quests, and she shared this photo of a mystical purple room, with six little desks surrounding a magic circle in the center, and next to each desk, there are little black cauldrons.
On top of every cauldron, we can see potion bottles suspended in the air, and in the background, next to the shelves of potions, there’s one large cauldron with smoke spilling out.
Look how amazing the room looks? It looks like we might have to make love potions or love spells as part of the quest? Maybe this is just one chapter of the quest?
It’s so different from anything we’ve seen from Dress To Impress thus far, but everything looks so beautiful, and fun.
Here is another look at another scene from the Dress To Impress Valentine’s Day Quest.
Umoyae posted this quote with this image: “The duality of two different realms is unlocked through trials and tribulations 🔮🗝️”
This scene was made by @HARHT, and Harht is behind many of the iconic map builds, and just look how beautiful it looks.
We can see beautiful big windows, with marble steps leading outside, with a balcony.
There are cute little lampshades on the tables, a chaise long next to a coffee table, and on the table there’s a pink crystal ball.
We don’t know which part of the quest this scene will feature, but this is definitely part of the quest.
This is the second scene reveal from the Dress To Impress Valentine’s Day Quest.
It’s a completely different mood compared to the image above, which was all soft and romantic.
This looks spooky and has the same red light we have in the Lana forest quest (the original quest).
We can see a long table with five chairs.
On the table there are five different candles, and a name card with “Agamemnon” on it.
Do you remember Agamemnon poisoned Lana with an apple? Well, on the table we can see two apples, which is menacing, and reference to the poisioned apple from the original Lana lore.
If you completed the Christmas Quest, and did the fountain scene, and entered the secret code PALINGENESIA, it unlocked a crazy Ancient Greek cut scene, which you accessed on the train platform of chapter one, through the wooden boarded up room with a question mark on the front (shown above).
When you access this secret room, you’re transported to a beautiful scene of Anicent Greece, with Greek pillars, Greek God statues, a deer grazing and a temple (which looks like it could be the Temple Of Zeus – I’m almost 100% sure it is the Temple Of Zeus, as it looks so similar with the same six pillars at the front).
The scene then cuts to a character named “?” – with no name, and he is wearing the Chiton robe (the prize from the Halloween quest) and he is talking to a female, and says he’s glad you’re finally safe, for now.
Then he wishes her a safe passage to her final destination, and the scene cuts away to a hooded female character on a wooden boat sailing away.
The woman character calls the male character “O” but the woman is named “???” so we don’t know the exact name of either the male or female character.
A lot of people think it’s Lana, as the hair and face is similar, but in truth, we just don’t know yet. Some people think they’re brother and sister, but I very much doubt that.
This would then tie in beautifully for a Dress To Impress Valentine’s Update, and the reason I think we are going to get one, is the Greek references within the new DTI Valentine’s logo.
This beautiful new DTI Valentine’s Day logo was created by @Bugaliciaz, and the logo features the same Greek pillars as the cut scene, the sea at the bottom of the pic (like the sea the boat sailed away on), and Mount Olympus is in the logo too.
I think the character with the bow and arrow could be Eros, The Greek God Of Love.
Eros had a bow and arrow, which alludes to a Greek theme within the update, so I 100% believe there will be a Valentine’s Day Quest, especially as Umoyae (the lore writer) said “Maybe” when asked if there was going to be one.
I’ll update this post if any further information is revealed….
I am so happy you used the name Eros! Alot of people get Eros and Cupid mixed up. And the potion room looks so interesting
Hi this isn’t a question abt the lore n stuff but like yk that set that might come. It has like the crown and arm cuffs. Do you know if the set will be like a code or a currency item or a quest item?
It could be a reward for doing the quest. The video for the winter quest showcased the ice queen set which was the reward for the winter quest, but the Halloween video showcased the currency witch set. I think it will be a currency set as it’s the corset, heels, dress, crown, arm cuffs and maybe skirt too.
Ok ty!
Yess! I can’t wait for the quest! I’d love to see more greek mythology references because I’m really into it. Also, I’m not sure if any caught this detail yet, but in the halloween quest, in the abandoned hospital, each room had like a sign next to it right? They had names on it and I remember one had the name “Artemis and Ori.” I’m pretty sure this is a reference to the story of Artemis and Orion in greek mythology. Sadly I can’t remember what names the other signs had because nurse Julie kept chasing me lol

I’m really excited about the quest too. They usually share sneak peeks of the rewards for the quest way ahead of the launch date, so I wonder what the prizes will be this time for the quest? I already overuse the dress from the Halloween quest, and the sleeves from the Winter quest haha! Oh wow that’s a good spot. I didn’t notice the Artemis and Ori reference in the Halloween quest *but* I did see someone on Twitter/X mention about Artemis and Ori having spaces on the table? I’m not sure, but I love the lore-based quests! xx
Haha, me too!
I can’t wait for the quest and the new items!! Quests are always so fun and the Lana lore is truly so good. I always get so excited when I see the sneak peeks for the new quests. Thanks for this article!
