The Dress To Impress team are spoiling us with the sneak peeks and reveals of new features and items coming our way over the coming weeks, and this latest reveal might be the most exciting to date.

Currently, we have two types of gameplay; regular play and freeplay. With the regular gameplay, we can play in the regular server, VIP server and Pro server, depending on how many stars you have, and if you have VIP.
Dress To Impress revealed the above image earlier this week, showcasing the circular sunken stage area, with salon chairs lining up along the wall, and a heart shaped cutout surrounded with lightbulbs, and a pretty pink satin stage curtain.
This scene is going to be part of the brand new Dress To Impress Style Showdown gameplay mode.

If you’re in the Dress To Impress Discord, you’ll have seen the honest play, farming play and playing channels, and there are very popular themes for the private servers, themed around Drag Race, and it looks like DTI has had inspiration from this popularity.
Dress To Impress is going to have a brand-new gameplay feature, and we can see four different gameplay features that’ll be launching in a new game mode which will be called Dress To Impress Style Showdown;
- Double Elimination
- Immunity Idol
- Vote Reveal
- Speed Round
Looking at the names of these four gameplay modes, Dress To Impress newest gameplay mode is inspired by both Drag Race and Survivor (Immunity Idol is a feature within the Survivor show), and the new gameplay mode appears to be called the Dress To Impress Style Showdown.
The Dress To Impress Style Showdown will feature Double Elimination, Immunity Idol, Vote Reveal and Speed Round in an entirely new gameplay function within the list of Freeplay mode, VIP server, Pro server and regular server within the menu.
Double Elimination would suggest when two players are eliminated from the game (just like Drag Race), Immunity Idol is when someone is immune from being eliminated (just like the Survivor show), Vote Reveal would share what votes players have given them within the server, and Speed Round would be a quicker round time (instead of the usual 325 seconds).
Can you imagine the drama with “vote reveal”, where the votes of every player would be revealed?
How Does The Dress To Impress Style Showdown Work?
Zac was quizzed in the Discord channel on how this feature works, and once a player has been eliminated, can they dress up in the next round?
Zac said “in regular DTI, the whole server does every single theme.. but for style showdown it’s about voting out your least favorite outfits and competing till it’s one winner”.
The big announcement about the Dress To Impress Style Showdown newest gameplay mode, is that the host of this new gameplay function is none other than Lana herself.
Lana is going to be the host of the DTI Style Showdown, and look at her standing there all fierce, holding her iconic pink nail file.
This also showcases the purple colored runway for the Style Showdown, with a heart shaped archway, for the models to walk out from. I love it!
The Dress To Impress X account answered a question, which, I thought, would be good to share; “Is there a rank requirement to play the new game mode?” and DTI official X account answered; “No there isn’t” – so you don’t have to have a special rank or number of stars to play.
When asked about a rank minimum requirement to join, Umoyae posted this in the DTI Discord; “There’s going to be a new leaderboard system for the game mode”
The Dress To Impress Style Showdown New Gameplay Mode and the Valentine’s Day update both launch on February 8th.
