3 Outfit Ideas For The Dress To Impress Desert Mirage Theme

I am kinda confused by the desert mirage theme in DTI. The theme description is “earthly, flowing styles that looks like you could be real… wait your real right?”, and it gives me AI description vibes. How does this theme work for Dress To Impress?

I really struggled to create three outfits for this one. I was tempted to dress up as a palm tree for a laugh, but even they do sprout in the middle of a desert, so I did three random outfits that kinda link to “desert mirage”, but not really… sorry haha.

For my first desert mirage but not really outfit, is this desert dune rider outfit. I feel like this kind of outfit is a lot more doable in-game, than trying to dress up as a mirage.

For the boots, I used the combat boots in silk, and I used the same color for all four sections; 3f2618, paired with the fishnet tights in toggle “1” and colored 3f2618.

On the legs, I used the Valentine’s Chest VIP leg ribbons, removing the bows, making them matte, and coloring them 3f2618.

I used the hood and made it light silk, and 3e2618, which I paired with the face mask, in light silk and 3e2618 for both sections, so they blend together.

I added the goggles from the men’s section, which I made silk for the first two sections, and I used 3e2618, 3e2618 and 3e2618.

Next, for the dress, I used the Tank Dress (currency) in light silk and on toggle “joy”, and I used the pattern with shades of browns and gothic crosses on it, mixed with the mini pink fippy skirt from non-VIP in the same material, and same pattern.

Around the waist, I used the Western Belt in silk, and used the same pattern for section one, section two, section three, 5d4b3d for section four, 5d4b3d for section five and 544136 for section five.

For the sleeves, I used the white sleeves from the mannequin above the heart cutout dress in non-VIP, and used the same brown pattern with the crosses, made light silk, and paired with the Western Gloves in light silk for section one and two, and finishing with 5a453a for section three.

For my next comical desert mirage outfit, I dressed up as water, as that’s what you’d want to see as a desert mirage.

To look like water, I used the foil material everywhere I could, and the color c3c3ff. Starting with the Ice Queen Dress colored c3c3ff for all three sections, and the matching Ice Queen Sleeves in the same color for all three sections.

On the head I used the VIP winter crown in c3c3ff and 8b8bff for the gems.

For the top, I used the VIP petal update butterfly top in foil, and colored c2c2ff for all five sections, with the matching sleeves, again, in foil and c2c2ff for section one and 8c8cff for section two.

I used the VIP angel wings dress on toggle “4”, in foil and c2c2ff, combined with the VIP jellyfish skirt in foil and c2c2ff, to look like dripping water.

For the necklace, I used the Cupid’s Prodigy Top (quest reward) on jewels only, and I colored those 8c8cff and 8c8cff.

Lastly, I used the Supernova Star Top and Supernova Star Skirt (both currency) on the ruffle toggle for both, and making them both foil, and colored c2c2ff.

By the third outfit, I was truly out of ideas, so I did a desert queen, hologram kinda look.

For this one, I started with the bow heels in foil, and colored c09293 for the three sections. Combining them with the Myra Magical Girl Heels (currency) on socks only, making them foil also and c09293, so they look like they’re part of the shoes.

I used the Petal Dress (code item) and removed the metal cage, coloring it ffc2c3, c19393 and ffc3c4. Blending it with the 4BILLION skirt (Code item) with the layer removed, and made light silk all over, and colored ffc2c3, ffc2c3 and ffc3c4.

Next, I used the Umoyae dress (code item) on the sleeves only toggle, making them foil, and colored ffc2c3, overlaying the Ice Queen Sleeves on toggle 2, and colored ffc2c3 for a voile effect.

To finish the sleeves, I used the VIP petal update butterfly sleeves in foil and ffc2c3 and c19393, with the snake bracelets (code item) inc19393, with the matching snake choker on toggle 2, colored c19393 and c19393.

For the last pieces, I used the VIP crown in ffc3c4 and ffc3c4, and the VIP shell top in foil and colored ffc2c3, ffc2c3, c09293, c09293 and c09293.
