BIG NEWS! Dress To Impress has announced a surprise update, and this surprise update is launching one week from today, Saturday the 17th of May.
We’ve been treated to multiple updates in the last six weeks, with the April Fool’s Update, Easter Update, Petal Update, and now the Dress To Impress World Culture Day Cultural Diversity Update – a big thank you to Harriet for emailing me minutes after this announcement (thank you so much!).
Here is the official Dress To Impress announcement about the new surprise update:
On Saturday 17 May 2025 , we will be launching an update to celebrate World Day for Cultural Diversity!
This update is incredibly special to us, as our team have taken the time to research various cultures to bring them and their traditions to the game.
Several cultural and traditional items will be releasing, alongside new hairs, patterns, accessories and more!
This is only the beginning, and we can’t wait to build upon this foundation we are starting with this update!“
In the announcement message, DTI shared an image of the new logo for the update, and we can see some iconic buildings and structures from different cultures, such as;
- The Taj Mahal, India,
- Rizal Monument from the Philippines
- Christ the Redeemer, Brazil
- Pagoda (possibly the Hōryū-ji or a Japanese/Chinese temple)
- Buddha, Thailand/Southeast Asia
There have been calls for Dress To Impress to do more cultural updates and inclusions within the game, and they definitely have made an effort in recent months.
We saw the Lunar New Year update in January, which included traditional Chinese clothing, as well as accessories, and while it was a mini update, it was still so much fun to embrace a new culture within the game.
During the winter update, we saw DTI include the Menorah or Hanukkah on the fireplace within the Christmas photo backdrop, and for Black History Month (February), we saw DTI introduce a special eyeshadow added, as well as a couple of other custom makeup features to honor the holiday.
What Do We Know About The Dress To Impress World Culture Day Cultural Diversity Update?
The Dress To Impress World Culture Day Cultural Diversity Update is launching Saturday, the 17th of May at 11am EST.
This update is going to include cultural and traditional items will be releasing, alongside new hairs, patterns, accessories and more.
Here is the first sneak peek for the Dress To Impress World Culture Day Cultural Diversity Update.
Here’s a sneak peak of our Brazilian, Indian, Thai & Filipino Set, coming in our update for World Day of Culture! More sets to come, too!”
So, in this photo, we can see four different sets we’re going to be getting in this update, and just look how incredible they are?
The sets we are 100% getting are:
- Brazilian Set
- Indian Set
- Thai Set
- Filipino Set
Each set comes with an outfit, accessories and even hair. I can’t even get over how insane the Brazilian set looks, look at that attention to detail!
Do We Need Currency For The DTI World Culture Day Update?
NO.
StudioZac has confirmed for definite: “everything in this update will be free“, so you don’t need to worry about currency within the game.
Plus, the Dress To Impress team are going to be including educational cards of each culture they put into the game, to help with educating players on the different cultures, which, I personally think is amazing.
Umoyae tweeted this: “So excited for this one! ❤️ I’ll be writing some educational tidbits throughout”, and knowing how thorough the quests are, I have no doubt the informational and educational features will be fantastic.
So, everything is going to be free, and we know we’re going to get new clothes, new accessories, new hairs, new patterns and more.
When Does The DTI World Culture Day Update Launch?
I 100% believe we’ll get at least one code item, as this is a single day holiday (like the April Fool’s Day update), so I believe we’ll get a 24-hour code (or more – we did get three codes for the Lunar New Year update), and I’ll of course update this post once further information is shared on this cool new update.
I love the Brazilian outfit, it would be great for bird themes. the Indian Dress is giving Rapunsel Vibes ngl. They are all so…Supercalifragitsticexspealladocus! I’m so happyyyy (I dress up Chinese when the theme is “Your Country”, although i live in America, I don’t need to do that anymoreee! LOL!)
