Have you had the apocalyptic ball theme in Dress To Impress, and thought a) what on earth does this theme mean? and b) what on earth do I wear for this theme?
I definitely thought both of those things, and it’s definitely one of the strangest themes we’ve ever had added to DTI.
It’s beyond strange, but here are three outfits which could vaguely fit the “Formalwear… but make it survive the end of the world” theme…

For this first outfit, I started with the VIP butterfly heels on “shoes only” toggle, and colored black and silk for section one, and for section two, I made the swirls matte and colored it eeb093 to match my skintone, as I didn’t want the swirls to be visible.
I layered the bow heels over the top, and I just love these two together for chunky bow heels. I made the three sections on the bow heels black and silk.
On the back of the head, I used the VIP bridal veil in black and foil, and lowered with the adjustment pass to put it at neck level, to look like a cape.
To add to the cape, I used the Rich Girl Top (Robux) on “shawl only”, and made the shawl black and foil, to make it opaque.
I used the VIP fur boa, and colored it black and 680c0e, with the VIP long lace gloves, in silk, and the first section I used the red and black pattern, with black lace.
I used the Moongazer Top (Robux) and colored 000000, 000000, 690c0e and 000000. With the Moongazer Skirt with the same red and black pattern from the petal update, 000000 and 690c0e.
Next, I used the non-VIP pencil skirt in silk, and the same red and black petal update pattern. Lastly, I used the Band-Aids in black, in different places on the body.

For this theme, I utilized the brown scratch pattern all over, and the silk material, to make it look more dimensional.
I started with the high heel pumps from non-VIP, in silk and the brown pattern. With the fishnet tights in 6b4129 and on toggle “5”, with the non-VIP stockings in the same brown scratch pattern for both sections.
For the top, I used the non-VIP white bodycon dress (above the heart cut-out dress) on “top only” and making all three sections silk and the brown pattern.
Layered with that, I used the Cupid’s Prodigy Top (quest reward) on “layer only” toggle, with the first section 352014 and the second section brown scratch pattern.
Next, I used the Halloween Quest Dress, on toggle “type 3”, made silk and the brown material all over. I layered this skirt with the VIP petal update mesh skirt in the same scratch pattern, to look like a ripped up skirt.
I used the Ice Queen Sleeves (quest reward) on toggle “2” and colored 6b4129. With the chain drop earrings in 6b4129, and the choker necklace in 6b4129 for all three sections.

I think this is my favorite outfit from the three, and it’s super easy, as it’s using the black smudgy pattern from the Halloween update, as it makes it look like a white outfit that’s dirty and ripped, like it would if you would ever end up at an apocalyptic ball (*eye roll*).
I used the VIP chunky gray heels and used the same pattern. Usually I don’t like using patterns on shoes, as it stretches the pattern out, but it kinda works for this theme.
For the ripped skirt effect, I started with the Summer Ruffle Dress (currency), and I used the black and white pattern all over it.
Layered with the VIP mesh skirt, and again, I used the same pattern all over, so it blended with the other skirt.
For the top, I started with the Ripped Cropped Overshirt (currency) and colored it 9f9f9f. With the Moongazer Sleeves (Robux) in 7f7f7f.
I used the Sparkling Resolution Dress (currency) on “top only” with the glitter and chains removed, and colored with the same pattern.
I then used the silk top from VIP which is under the chain dress, and used the pattern on both sections.
Lastly, I used the VIP pink and blue summer top on the new toggle “2” where you just get the ruffle side pieces, with the same black and white pattern.
On the arms, I used the VIP butterfly top sleeves only and colored them the pattern for section one, and 7f7f7f for section two.
Lastly, I added the vampire choker, with section one bebebe and 680c0e.
