The Science Fair Winner theme has recently been added to Dress To Impress, and the theme has a description of quirky, nerdy outfits that scream “Well Actually…!”.
I think it depends on where you’re from, but in the UK, science fairs aren’t really a thing, compared to the US, where they are.
So, I had to do some searching online for the kinds of outfits people would wear for a science fair, and made three DTI science fair winner outfits, but they could truly be awful, as I’ve never been to a science fair in my life…
For my first DTI science fair winner outfit, I went for a cutesy outfit.
I started with the blue and white non-VIP sneakers, and coloring them white all over, with the non-VIP socks on the “high stripped socks” toggle, and colored white all over.
I added the belted skirt from non-VIP, and used the black and white houndstooth pattern on section one, 000000 for section two and ffffff for section three.
Next, I added Lana’s tight shirt and the “turtleneck” toggle, making it white. With the pink fur jacket from non-VIP, but with the “fur removed” toggle on, making the first two sections black 000000, and making the zip (Section 3) white.
Then, I used the trophy in dfdfdf and 966732, and finished with the heart necklace in a57f27.
I did a nerdy outfit for my second one, starting with the VIP Valentine’s Chest patent shoes, and colored them 8d6d5b for all four sections, to make them look like brogues.
For the pants, I used the SWEETHEART pants (code item) and colored them c9a183 for both sections.
I added the suspenders from the men’s section and colored them 6f5948 for both sections.
For the top, I used the newly reworked VIP shirt and tie combo set, and colored that ffffff, bc9276, bd9377, 5c4a3c and 8e6e5c.
To finish, I added the small hoop earrings in bc9276.
Here is my last science fair winner outfit, and I went for a lab coat vibe for this one.
For the shoes, I started with the non-VIP ankle boots, with the “socks” toggle turned on, and colored 000000, 000000, 000000, 000000 and ffffff for the socks.
I added the pencil skirt in matte, and ffffff.
Next, I used the bow tie shirt from non-VIP, and made it matte and ffffff, 0c0c68 and 0c0c68. With the non-VIP gray color boob tube top and made white and ffffff.
I used the trench coat, making it matte and all over, and coloring it white, so it looks like a lab coat.
I made a rosette from the lace hair accessory, and moving it with the adjustment feature, and colored it 0c0c68 for every section.
The adjustment numbers to make it a rosette are:
- Position: X 0.70, Y 0.00, Z 0.44
- Rotate: X 0.50, Y 0.00, Z 0.50
- Scale: 0.25
Lastly, I picked up the books from the bottom shelf of the accessory section, and colored them blue and white to match the outfit.
