I have the most exciting news to share with you guys today, and it’s all about the brand new Dress To Impress toys.

It was leaked in January (by the toy manufacturer’s distributor) that DTI were launching four ranges of toys, and I have got my hands on TWELVE of the brand new toys which haven’t even officially launched yet, and I bought them with my own money, they were not gifted.

So, I’m giving you an exclusive sneak peek, plus a chance to win one of these dolls, as I know how hard these dolls are to get hold of right now. Keep on reading to find out more…

What Is Included In The Dress To Impress Toys Range?

Dress To Impress Dolls Mystery Models

The DTI Mystery Models are the blind bags within the toy range, and there are ten different dolls to collect, and they are available to buy here right now.

Each of the dolls come in a plastic, gold shimmery star shaped box, with a lid. The outside of the box is wrapped in plastic, and the base of the box features a pink sleeve.

Each of the Mystery Models dolls comes in a shimmery gold, star-shaped box, and the lid of the box can be lifted to reveal eight mystery items inside – that’s right, inside each mystery box, you get eight different items.

The dolls all have fully posable joints, so you can “play” with them, and move them about, which is really cool for such small dolls.

I didn’t expect to be able to do that, and I’m telling you, the quality is actually really nice, and they look a lot nicer in real life than they did in the stock images.

What Do You Get Inside The DTI Mystery Models Blind Boxes?

So, you get the shimmering gold start display capsule, and inside the capsule, you get the following eight gifts:

• 1 x Mystery Model Mini Doll
• 1 x Top
• 1 x Hairstyle
• 1 x Bottoms (pants or skirt)
• 1 x Accessory (for the doll to wear)
• 1 x Pair of shoes
• 1 x Theme card showing the name of the doll you got
• 1 x DLC card (with a code for a virtual in-game item)

The pink sleeve on the box unwraps to show all of the ten dolls we can get, and shows the accessories each doll gets, and what their “theme” card looks like, and we can officially see there’s a Lina Doll and Lana Doll, both of which have a spooky Lana Lore theme card.

There are little checkboxes on the card, so you can tick off which of the dolls you have from the ten dolls on offer.

When you lift the lid on the star box, you will see four pink wrapped packets inside the box, and then the background within the box is designed to look like the Dress To Impress runway.

Inside the box, you get a little plastic stand which fixes into the base of the gold box, so you can stand your doll up within your box, with the runway in the background, which is adorable.

It’s such a tiny extra to the box, but it’s so cute, and will be perfect so you can stand the gold star boxes on a shelf or display, and the dolls will stand up within the box.

Here is a look at what is inside your Dress To Impress Mystery Model Doll.

You get one packet with the theme collector card.

You get one packet with the undressed doll, the clear plastic stand and the DLC virtual prize card.

You get one packet with the hairstyle, the pants or skirt, one accessory and one prop.

You also get one packet with the shoes and the top/shirt.

How Many Dress To Impress Mystery Model Dolls Are There?

There are ten different dolls you can get in the Series 1 of these blind boxes. As they are blind boxes, you won’t know which doll you’re getting until you open your star shaped box, and open the packet inside the box.

There are eight “normal” dolls you can get, which are all individually named like “Stardust Softie”, but none of these dolls are currently characters within the DTI lore.

However, there are two special dolls, and they are Lina and Lana dolls, but I imagine they’re going to be rarer and harder to get than the other eight dolls.

Each of the dolls are wrapped up inside the box, so you won’t know what you’re getting until you open that inner package.

How Much Are The Dress To Impress Mystery Model Minifigures?

Currently, the DTI Mystery Model Dolls are only available in the UK, which I believe is because the toy manufacturer’s distributor is Click, and that’s a UK company, which is why I was able to purchase 12 of these dolls.

In the UK, each one of these dolls are £12.99 which works out at $15.70 in USD (you can purchase the dolls here, right now).

I don’t think that’s too bad a price at all, as the dolls were first found in Thailand, and they were SO expensive there, so I’m happy to see that they’re only £12.99 each in the UK.

What Does The DTI Mystery Models Virtual DLC Code Get You?

Every one of the Dress To Impress Mystery Models Blind Boxes comes with a pink card that says “virtual prize” on one side of the card with an illustration of the doll you received inside your box.

On the reverse of this card, you get a scratch-off panel which is hiding your code, and to redeem the code, you do not enter it in the Dress To Impress game which is surprising.

You have to go to playdresstoimpress.com/DLC to redeem your code.

The code is a long letter and number code, and nothing like the codes we have in game. An example of what a code could look like is DGFJ5DKM2 for example, so they’re not guessale codes, and you CANNOT REUSE A CODE.

However, the playdresstoimpress.com website isn’t live until the 5th of April (according to a statement on their website), so at the time of writing this post (April 4th), I can’t tell you what we actually get with the code.

UPDATE

I have now redeemed the codes from my five dolls, and all five codes will give you a different, incredible makeup look.

You don’t get any items (unfortunately), but let me tell you, the makeup looks are better than any other makeup looks I’ve seen in Dress To Impress.

So, it looks like I won’t be able to share the codes with you, because it’s a different code for every single doll, and not a one code for everyone situation.

If it was one code for everyone, I absolutely would have shared the codes. But, you’ll have to buy your own doll to get a code (or enter my giveaway below).

Which Dress To Impress Mystery Model Dolls Did I Get From My 10 Boxes?

So, I bought twelve of the Mystery Model Dolls to keep ten, and keep two for the giveaway at the end of the post.

I opened the ten dolls, and I only got five unique dolls, so five of my dolls were duplicates, and I ended up getting one doll three times.

So, please remember, these are blind bags, so you always risk duplicates when your purchase multiple blind bags, but I got five of the ten dolls on offer.

The next doll I have is Lana, and I am SO excited she was one of my dolls, as she was the one I wanted the most – she is iconic.

The next doll I have is Chic Academia.

The last doll I have is Dreamy Sparkle, and she was the one other doll I wanted the most after Lana, so I’m really happy to have my two favorites.

Dress To Impress Dolls Mystery Model Toys Review

When the first pics were leaked of the DTI Mystery Models, the dolls did look tiny and quite cheap – I’m sorry, I’m just being honest.

But they are much nicer than the stock images look, so please don’t be put off by the promotional images, as they’re really nice quality.

Firstly, I love that the dolls each have flexible, posable joints so you can change the way they stand/pose, and not only that, you can change and remove the hair, the tops, the bottoms, the shoes and the accessories.

You can move the heads, shoulders and legs, and you do have to twist them about to be able to get the outfit on.

So, if you have multiple dolls, you can swap out their hair, clothes and accessories which is adorable.

I think for £12.99, it’s amazing to get eight different items inside each box: the doll, the top, the bottoms, the accessory, the hairstyle, the theme card, the DLC virtual code and the shoes.

Some mystery blind bags around the £12/$15 price tag just give you the doll or minifigure inside, and not a lot more, so I think DTI really have done a great job with giving us a lot for the price.

The clothes have a rubberised texture to them, as they’re silicone, as they’re flexible so you can remove/put the clothes on.

I love the attention to detail on the collector cards, and the attention to detail overall – everything is so cute, and for the prize, they’re amazing – genuinely.

I would buy more, I need Lina to go with Lana!!

When it comes to getting multiples, I got the following dolls in total:

• 1 x Lana

So, only two dolls I didn’t get duplicated, and I now have 5 duplicate dolls, but hopefully I can still use the codes inside the boxes of the duplicate dolls.
