We finally have a new update to look forward to in Dress To Impress. It’s been a very long time since we had a proper update (February 8th), and this newest update is the Dress To Impress April Fool’s Update 2025.
We all know April Fool’s Day is a day for jokes and pranks, so we need to take these sneak peeks with a grain of salt, but it looks like we’re actually getting some items and some pranks too…
April Fool’s Day is Tuesday, April 1st, and the day of the Dress To Impress April Fool’s Update 2025 is Tuesday, April 1st, so we really don’t have long to wait.
If you’re relatively new to DTI, the iconic, now-famous Lana lore all began on April 1st 2024.
So, whilst you might think this “update” could potentially just be a joke, it actually looks like it’s going to be a real mini update with some real stuff, but some jokes too.
Please consider that as April Fool’s Day is all about jokes and pranks, none of this stuff is guaranteed, or there could be some secrets and twists to make it more fun.
Dress To Impress April Fool’s Update 2025
Here is the announcement message from the DTI team:
“Come celebrate April Fools with us Tuesday 1 April 2025! 2 New Code Items (1 You have to SEARCH FOR…) & Some Secrets that have yet to be discovered.
Did somebody say Flamethrower or am I crazy? 🔥”
The Dress To Impress April Fool’s Update 2025 is launching Tuesday April 1st, and depending on what time zone you’re in, will depend what time this update launches.
It launches Tuesday, April 1st at 1:00 PM EST, and we are getting TWO NEW CODE ITEMS.

The first limited time code item, which will only be available for 24 hours, is the Dress To Impress Butterfly Heels.
They’re the prettiest shoes I’ve seen in the game, and they’re strappy stiletto heels, with slightly pointed toe, and there’s a strappy cage effect that goes up the leg to the knees, with five singular thin straps.
On each of the five straps, there’s a beautiful silk bow, with a silver metal heart in the center.
They’re so feminine and pretty, and it’s so nice for non-VIP players to have strappy heels like this, as VIP have two different strappy heel items.
I love them so much, and they’ll be a very rare item, as we only have 24 hours to claim the code once it launches April 1st, 1.00pm EST.
These heels are way too beautiful, and intricate for them to be a joke or fake item. The image the DTI team shared was named “butterfly heels” so we know these shoes are going to be a real, genuine item, even though they do launch on April Fool’s Day.
A couple of DTI YouTubers have suggested there’s a “twist” with these heels, and as the photo has no toenails, I think there might be a joke toggle on them, to give us crazy long toenails, like they did last year for April Fool’s Day.
The second limited time code item, which will only be available for 24 hours, is the Flamethrower.
Zac was quizzed about the flamethrower in the Discord, and here’s everything we know.
The flamethrower is a real item (not a joke item), but for only 24 hours, it’ll be a gear item which will let us use it to set things on fire, just like those with admin commands can.
Once the 24 hours is up, the flamethrower will become a prop item we can hold (like the knife or pumpkin), but it will not let you shoot fire anymore, so we’ll only be able to use it as a flamethrower for 24 hours.
Once the 24 hours are over, there will be toggles on the flamethrower, and we’ll be able to pose with it.
Zac also said it might not be colorable, as it’s “just for funsies for now”, so it’ll be a gear when the update launches, and then an accessory once the update is finished.
We cannot use the flamethrower for outfits for the 24 hours (until April 2nd), only after the update is done.
We also get to keep it permanently once the update is finished, so while the code will only be available for 24 hours (like past limited time codes), we can use it forever as a prop, but not to set things on fire.
We know that the Dress To Impress April Fool’s Update 2025 will include two code items.
The code item for the Butterfly Heels will be announced on April 1st, so we won’t know what that code is going to be until the 1st of April (Tuesday).
However, the flamethrower code is one we are going to have to search and hunt for. Which makes it a fun little side quest, and it’ll be exciting trying to find it.
We’ve had a hidden code in the past, and it was Owen (M0toprincess)’s axe code item, and it was split into three parts, and we had to hunt around the dressing room to find the three parts, and then enter the three parts to claim the code.
Zac was quizzed about the hunt for the code, and he said the above.
He said that we are going to have to hunt for the flamethrower code, and everyone’s code is going to be different. He was asked if the search will be as hard as the hunt for Motoprincess’ axe code?
He said “the search is similar to the axe hunt but it involves a little more thinking”, so it looks like it’s going to be a hard side quest situation, where we’ll have to hunt for different parts of the code, and put it together.
It’s exciting that it’s a little different to the usual codes, but hopefully it won’t be too difficult.
Another surprise for the Dress To Impress April Fool’s Update 2025, is this hilarious farting pose, which will only be available for 24 hours.
The pose shows the model lifting a leg up, farting green smoke, and lifting one arm up to their nose to waft away the smell.
Now… this could be a joke pose, but it could be real? If it is real, you can only use it for 24 hours in-game.
How Much Currency Do We Need For The Dress To Impress April Fool’s 2025 Update?
The DTI April Fool’s Update 2025 launches on Tuesday 1st of April, and someone asked Zac how much currency we’d need for this update.
It’s official, we won’t need any currency for this update, so don’t worry about not having enough in-game currency for the April Fool’s Update, because everything will be free.
It isn’t guaranteed, but I think we might potentially see some new Lana Lore within the Dress To Impress April Fool’s Update 2025.
Remember, the original Lana Lore launched April 1st 2024, so it would make sense if there was a new installment within this new update.
In the DTI Discord, the above image was shared randomly in a quiet Discord Channel, and it’s a conversation between “Nurse Julie” and someone else.
It was really random, and it looks like it could be a hint at what’s to come, maybe in this latest update?
One last sneak peek, is this image and an announcement to tell us that the Dress To Impress in-game shop is being revamped.
The shop is where we currently buy poses, the Valentine’s patterns, the Valentine’s makeup pack and currency items.
I didn’t think it was going to launch in the April Fool’s update, and it has now been confirmed that it will launch with the upcoming big spring The Petal update, but as they haven’t said for sure, it could potentially launch with the April Fool’s update, but I think it’ll be later in April that it launches.
I am really excited about the new shop, because maybe we’ll get a load of new stuff, like new currency items, new poses (which could include the new walk animations), new patterns and new makeup looks.
I will update this post whenever more information is shared, but remember, these two new code items will only be available for 24 hours.

I think there will be quite a few, it makes sense to launch a whole new shop with the new stuff. I think we should perhaps plan to have at least 10,000 in currency (maybe even 20,000), to cover the new walks, new poses, new items and anything else new that could be in this new shop experience.

I know the code is definitely not available until Tuesday, Zac confirmed that we won’t find anything until Tuesday. I think it’s going to be a mini update lik the Lunar New Year update, but we will have the spring/easter update next, so we won’t have long to wait until the next update 😀

I’m really unsure. We’ve never had a code item that we got, and then it disappeared. So part of me wonders if it’ll be the first of that kind. Orrrr is it something we can keep, but only use in freeplay? Imagine the carnage of being in a normal server in a usual round and 13 people are flamethrowing everyone lol, the lag would be immense! It could be that the flamethrower is going to be a 24 hour thing, and then *maybe* after the 24 hours is done, it’ll turn into another item we keep, like a prop item or something, which won’t cause crazy lag and madness? The mention of “Some Secrets that have yet to be discovered” is what I’m most excited about!!

OK I did some digging, it is a real item we are getting but it will ONLY shoot fire for the 24 hours, and after the 24 hours it’ll just be a prop we can hold with toggles (no toggles available for the first 24 hours). I got loads of screenshots of things about it, but it is a HUNT that’s “worse” than a maze (OMG) he said it’s worse than a maze.
