We are just hours away from the launch of the big Dress To Impress Petal Update, which is launching today (on Saturday).
While the DTI Developer’s Q&A said that this update wouldn’t be bigger than the Valentine’s or Winter update, we still have so much new content and things to look forward to.
It’s been confirmed that we are going to need a massive amount of in-game currency to be able to buy the new items, so keep on reading to find out how much currency do we need for the Dress To Impress Petal update?
The Dress To Impress Petal Update launches today and includes a brand new shop.
Right now, the in-game shop allows you to purchase pose packs, Valentine’s patterns, the Valentine’s makeup pack, currency items, Robux items and in-game currency.
With this new update, we’re getting a new shop and that means new items, new poses, new patterns and more.
Let’s go through what’s coming to the update, so you can plan ahead and farm currency, so you have enough in-game currency ready to spend!
StudioZac has now confirmed how much we’re going to need, and it is A LOT.
*UPDATE*
StudioZac tweeted last night: “if you like farming, I would do it tonight”, and someone replied back boasting that they didn’t need to do farming, because they already had $60,000 of in-game currency.
Well, Zac replied to this player with “bestie without giving you a number… I would play some extra rounds tonight”
So, that means we will need more than $60,000 of in-game currency which is just insane.
I know this stressed a lot of players out, as many thought it would be $20,000 to $30,000 that we need, but just think, this means we’re going to be getting SO MUCH new stuff, and that’s a good thing.
Remember, if you do have less than $60,000, purchase LIMITED TIME items first, and not items that will be permanent. So make sure you prioritize limited time items first, so you don’t miss out, as you can always make more currency in the coming weeks.
Starting off, we are getting a Spring Pattern Pack, with at least twenty patterns, and you can see sneak peeks for each of these patterns in the image above.
During the Valentine’s update, we got the Valentine’s Pattern Pack, which gave us 18 patterns and cost us $4000.
In the pattern sneak peek, we saw 20 patterns, so I think the Spring Pattern Pack will give us twenty spring-themed patterns, so expect to pay at least $4000 for that pack.
In the Valentine’s Update, we also got the Alune’s Makeup Pack, which gave you eleven custom makeup elements and face.
It cost $1500, and DTI has confirmed that this pack is being removed in the Spring Update, so it’s likely that’s because we are getting a Spring version, with (hopefully) some spring themed makeup elements we can add to our makeup looks.
It would make sense that we’d get a new one, especially as we know we’re going to get premium patterns pack like the Valentine’s Update.
So, expect to pay around $1500 for a similar spring makeup pack.
We are getting 3-4 new pose packs in the Spring Update, and three of them have already been confirmed:
- Spring Pose Pack
- K-Pop 2 Pose Pack
- Style Showdown Pose Pack
The Valentine’s Pose Pack cost $6000 and included 13 poses, and we’ve seen four of the poses of the Spring Pose Pack, so we could guess we’re going to get a similar amount of poses for the spring-themed pose pack, so a $6000 price is likely.
We don’t know how many poses will be in the K-Pop 2 Pose Pack, but the original version is $4500 and contains 15 poses, so we can expect the second version of the pack to contain a similar amount of poses and a similar price, so let’s guess $4500 as a conservative estimate.
Right now, we don’t know anything about the Style Showdown Pose Pack, but let’s guess it’ll be priced around the same as the Spring Pose Pack and the K-Pop 2 Pose Pack, so let’s guess around $5000, as we do know it’s a pose AND dance pack, and dance pose packs tend to cost more.
Next up, we are getting a brand new currency set, and it’s the Dress To Impress Cowboy Set.
This set features around six items in total: gloves, chaps, utility belt, cowboy hat, shirt and jacket.
The shoes look like the MeganPlays boots (on the fem body) and the black dress shoes from the VIP Valentine’s display (on the masc body).
So, looking at other currency sets in the shop right now, like the Witch Set, each item within the set could cost between $500 and $1200 per piece, or the Everlasting Love Set where each item costs between $300 and $2000.
I would take a guess that this set will cost around $5000 to $6000, but that’s just a guess, and because it is a set, you’ll be able to buy individual pieces gradually, rather than forking out for the whole set in one go.
We know we’re getting the Robot Collection within this update, but we don’t know if it will be currency or Robux.
I think it’s likely to be currency, because we now know we’re getting new Robux sets themed around the existing Robux bags (like The Rich Girl Set).
It’s a very special set, with amazing attention to detail, so if it is currency, I think it would be a pricier set, and potentially be around $5000 to $7000 as it’s such a high-end set.
I haven’t written about the known Robux set (the Rich Girl Set) as we know that’s Robux, and not in-game currency, but I’ll update this post if any confirmed currency items are revealed, but from what I’ve shared above, my estimation is that we will need around $32,000 to $35,000.
(I have now updated this post after StudioZac confirmed we are going to need more than $60,000 in-game currency for this update, but I do still think $30,000 would be enough to be able to purchase the LIMITED TIME items, and you can just farm more currency in the coming weeks to be able to afford the rest of the items)
I could obviously be wrong, as these are just educated guesses looking at existing packs, items and pricing, but I am farming until I get to $35,000, so I have as much as I might need.
Plus, we could be getting lots more new currency items and packs, because it is a whole new shop remember.
We are also getting animated walks (which have been already confirmed as being currency and NOT Robux, but we don’t know how many packs that’ll be so you could guess around $5000 to $6000 on top of the above guess).
When it comes to purchasing currency items, please remember to purchase limited items first, as those are the most time critical.
So, spring makeup, spring patterns, spring poses etc.
The cowboy set is permanent, and the robot set is permanent, so don’t purchase permanent items first (unless you want to, obviously), as you’ll want to make sure you get the limited edition items first, so you don’t miss out.
