If you’re an OG Dress To Impress player, and you played pre-Brat update, the summer update of 2024 truly was peak DTI.
It was gaining popularity, it was wholesome and simple. You didn’t have to spend four of your five minutes just walking around the map, and for the upcoming summer update (June 28th), the DTI team are trying to relive the summer 2024 vibes.

I started playing DTI in June 2024, so I remember summer 2024 DTI vividly.
The Lana lore kinda went a bit crazy post Halloween update. It was amazing in the Halloween quest, but trying to fit Lana lore into Christmas with Santa, then Valentine’s Day with Cupid, it just lost the fun and interesting intrigue.
One of the worst things about DTI now, in my personal irrelevant opinion, is the giant map. If you’re in a VIP dressing room and want something from the cultural diversity collection, it takes, even with the walk faster game pass, nearly 20 seconds each way. So, you’re wasting 40 seconds for one item.
The map used to be so simplistic and easy to navigate. You could go from the VIP dressing room to the non-VIP dressing room in seconds.
Yes, the old map was no way near as pretty as it looks now, but I think most, if not all, players would choose simplicity and easy navigation over a super elegant, super spread out map like we have now.
The DTI team have been asking many questions on X lately, looking for specific feedback and wanting to know what we do and do not want from the game.

Just now, Dress To Impress posted two photos in their Discord, with the message “spring cleaning? No! Summer cleansing!”
In the above image, we can see some slimline changing rooms, with the non-VIP skirts on a display next to the non-VIP belts and some accessories.
It looks so, so similar to the old style map, with the mannequins closer together, and no wasted space between the displays.
Currently, the bags are miles away from the skirts within the non-VIP section. This is such an improvement, and it looks like the dressing room booths are going to have the same layout as before, rather than being super spaced out and large like they are now.

In this photo, we can see Lana’s salon looking like it used to. It literally looks identical in terms of layout, with the makeup chairs on one side, the hair chairs on the other, and I assume, Lana’s desk behind the partition.
We can also see an archway next to the salon, which appears to be the entrance to VIP, like it used to be, which is the last exciting. No wasted space and long walks trying to get everything in the 6 minutes we have.
It’ll be interesting to see the other sneak peeks of the newly designed map, and see if the DTI team can bring back the DTI nostalgia from summer 2024 🤞🏻
