Every time there’s a big Dress To Impress update, BeaPlays and Umoyae hold an update Developer’s Q&A session on YouTube, and it’s where lots of secrets and sneak peeks are revealed.

The winter update Q&A was particularly exciting, as it gave us insights into what was coming during 2025, and during the Valentine’s Q&A, we found out some very exciting sneak peeks, so we’ve all been excited about the Dress To Impress Developer’s Petal Update Q&A. The Dress To Impress Developer’s Petal Update Q&A went live today on YouTube, and at this point, there are already over 800 comments on the video, which isn’t even going live for another hour!

Today, the Easter Update goes live, and it’s a mini update before next weekend’s big Spring Petal Update, so we have lots of things to look forward to, but I’m going to share every single one of the DTI questions and their answers, so you know what’s coming up in the game… are we going to get a spring quest?

The Dress To Impress Developer’s Petal Update Q&A is officially live on the official Dress To Impress YouTube channel, and it’s between BeaPlays (community manager) and Umoyae (manager and writer), and they’re answering the questions players sent in, ahead of the Q&A. Let’s jump into the questions and answers.

It starts with Umoyae mentioning that the update is heavily influenced by a quality of life update, and adding really exciting new content like new walks and much, much more.

1 – Could there be a system where we can gift users offline by inputting their username, this would be super helpful for people who host giveaways?

I definitely think so, that’s actually been something that’s been brought up before in the past, and we have had like a discussion about that. I wouldn’t say that, that’s coming super soon or confirmed at all, but I definitely think maybe within six months or our next like big seasonal update like Halloween or winter. Maybe we could look into implementing something like that because I do agree that would be really helpful.

2 – Is the petal update going to be a huge update like the previous updates, if so what more could we expect with this update?

So, I’d say in terms of like comparison of winter and Valentines, I wanna say it’s gonna be as big as, but I do think the quality of life features we’re gonna be adding kinda makes up for that fact. And my personal opinion, we’re just adding things that are really gonna improve the gameplay and make it overall more fun and more cohesive, so I think it isn’t like boom in your face it’s like enough content that’s really satisfying.

3 – Will you ever reveal what Agamemnon looks like beneath the shadows?

I mean I think I plan to yes, right now he’s just like the boogeyman or the shadow man, he definitely needs more of like an official design, so I think the next time, the next quest we do, I think we will like reveal some sort of an official design instead of like the shadow man, so yes.

4 – Will there be any swimsuits in the Petal update?

No there will not be any swimsuits but I’m sure in our summer update we’ll likely add some sort of swimsuit-esque item. That would be really cool.

5 – Is there going to be a limited time code item or is there going to be any rare items that’s already done coming in this update?

As far as a limited code item, I do not believe so, although I won’t 100% say yes or no because we haven’t really discussed that but I don’t think there will be any limited time code items. As far as rare items go, I don’t think so either, but we are going to be adding like new currency items, new currency sets, things of that nature, so if you count that as rare, then I guess so yes.

6 – Are masculine players going to start getting more clothes and reworked items?

Yes. I would say so yes, we are definitely working towards that, I would say once we get to the summer update we’ll definitely have more variety and more selection for our fellow masc players. We are always constantly working towards being a more inclusive game and space.

7 – Will style stars (Style Showdown) actually be used for anything soon?

Yes, I would say yes. So when I originally came up with the concept of style stars, I write that with the intention that you would be able to use them in different ways in the game. We weren’t able to implement that during the beta phase, but when we fully release Style Showdown, I definitely plan to incorporate in ways you can use style stars for more ways than just like who has the most style stars at the end of the game, and then you win, like they’ll definitely be more ways you can use them.

8 – Can you guys explain why you are reworking a lot of stuff and also will we be getting more codes for influencers too?

So the main reason we rework items is because sometimes the triangle count which in modeling terms is like the details sometimes it’s so high that it lags the game. So when you guys are like Dress To Impress feels kinda laggy right now, sometimes it’s because of those really old items and we just need to rework them so we can lower the tris count, and also sometimes we rework them just so they can look better because our modelers obviously are constantly improving, so sometimes they just wanna revisit their old work and then improve it in new innovative ways.

Oh and for influencer codes, yes we will be adding another influencer code. I’m not sure if in the petal update but sometime soon, yes.

9 – Will there be a Lana lore / spring quest or one soon? Will Lina leave Lana’s chair?

So, unfortunately no, there won’t be a spring quest but that is because we want to build up momentum and like keep you guys on your toes and just I really wanna space it out so the next quest is going to be like really big, really cinematic and it’s going to go back to the roots of just being completely lore based not ties around any sort of holiday. It’s gonna be like the big finale in a sense so yeah, then you guys should be really excited for the next quest whenever it comes.

So, yeah Lina will also leave the chair. Lina entering the chair was for April Fool’s, so you know we’ll get our queen Lana back at some point.

10 – Will duo poses still come out?

Yes actually. I think one of the reasons we paused on it was because we were also planning on adding a new feature where you could like duo and couples or something, it was like some feature we were working on, and so since we had to put a pause on that we haven’t had any new duo poses, but I do think maybe in like the summer update or whenever our new rework of the duo comes out, like more duo poses will come out for duos.

11 – What is your personal favorite thing about this update?

It’s a hard one, I think I would say the new walks, they’re so cool and they reference top models like Shalom Harlow, that is like my favorite walk. It’s like diva, it’s so aggressive but like so high fashion. I just absolutely love it and I’ve been wanting custom walks for a really long time and I think it adds like so much more flavor and spice and you can like match your outfit to like what walk style you want to use, so that definitely what I’m looking forward to. And also the quality of life stuff we are adding, like things where it’s just more organized and will help you I don’t know, just maximize your looks and like be able to do things in the time frame be easier, so I’m definitely excited for all of that.
